Devorador

The Great Capricorn is one of the largest beetles in the Iberian Peninsula. Although the adult specimens do not feed, in the larval stage, they devour the wood of the oaks from the inside for 3 or 4 years, which can cause the death of these centenary trees. The picture shows an adult specimen about to take flight, leaving the host tree completely dry.
