Sister
Palaguta Toporan is an elderly deaf-mute Romanian woman who lives alone in Budesti, a quaint village in Mara -mures. In her small, clean and tidy house, she devotes herself to cooking and the art of embroidery, of which she is a master. Behind her, her sister Maria, who visits her every day to take care of her and help with her chores, watches from the glass what is happening outside.
