I am a biologist with professional training, with a Doctorate in Ecology. I began to be interested in nature photography, to portray in its environment the amphibians and reptiles that I studied, both in Spain, and in several countries in Europe, America and Africa,The photography of these vertebrates allowed me to complement the publications and talks at national and international level, with the purpose of helping to broaden the knowledge about the biodiversity, status and need of conservation of the amphibians and reptiles. With the passage of time, I became interested in the photography of other groups of vertebrates and invertebrates, as well as the landscape and underwater photography.I have worked together with the CSIC during the Biodiversity Forum, providing texts and photographs for the exhibition: Amphibians and Spanish Reptiles: A Photographic Vision - House of Culture - Forum of Biodiversity 2011, CSIC (Seville) and the Forum of Biodiversity in Portugal (CIBIO 2010).I have made national and international exhibitions (Spain, Portugal, Costa Rica) and published in books of documentary and taxonomic importance such as the Field Guide: Amphibians and reptiles of the Iberian Peninsula, the Balearic Islands and the Canary Islands. Editions OMEGA, S.A (2011). Also, I published my first author's book, entitled: Photo guide of the most common amphibians and reptiles of Costa Rica (Ediciones Rodeno, 2015) and I have been awarded with more than 55 International Nature Photography Awards in the most renowned competitions in the world .Currently I work in several photographic projects and publications that I hope to finish between 2019 and 2020, and my main objective is to continue improving as a nature photographer and to associate this discipline with field work and the conservation of the different species and ecosystems that portrait .
